This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which Startup Books USA will provide refunds, the procedure for submitting a refund request, and the responsibilities of both parties. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
This policy applies to all services contracted through Startup Books USA, operating at startupbooksusa.com. It does not apply to any third-party tools, platforms, or providers engaged independently by the client. Startup Books USA’s liability in any refund scenario is limited to fees paid directly to us.
We approach every client relationship with a commitment to delivering accurate, reliable, and professional bookkeeping services. We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund — no questions asked.
For all other concerns, before submitting a formal refund request, we ask that you reach out to our team at support@startupbooksusa.com to allow us an opportunity to address your concerns and find a mutually satisfactory resolution.
Full Refund: If the service period has not yet commenced and no onboarding, account connection, or bookkeeping work has begun. Also applies within the 30-day new client satisfaction guarantee period.
Partial Refund: If the billing period has started but Startup Books USA has failed to deliver the agreed scope of service. The refund will be proportional to the undelivered work.
No Refund: Once the monthly report has been delivered and books have been reconciled for the billing period.
Full Refund: If no cleanup work has been initiated prior to the refund request.
Partial Refund: If work is in progress and Startup Books USA has not delivered within the agreed scope or timeline. The refund will reflect completed work to date.
No Refund: Once cleaned-up records and reports have been delivered to the client.
Non-Refundable: All tax preparation, tax-ready records, and tax resolution services are non-refundable once work has commenced, as these engagements involve significant upfront
research, strategy, and coordination. Clients may cancel future engagements with written notice, but fees paid for active work will not be refunded.
Non-Refundable: Strategy calls, onboarding sessions, and consulting engagements are non-refundable once the session has taken place.
Non-Refundable: Fees paid to third-party platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books) are non-refundable as these funds are disbursed directly to those providers. Startup Books USA is not liable for third-party billing disputes.

Clients agree to contact Startup Books USA directly at support@startupbooksusa.com prior to initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or credit card provider. Initiating a chargeback without first following the refund request process outlined in this policy constitutes a material breach of this agreement. Approved full refunds will be processed within 30 business days of the cancellation confirmation. Approved partial refunds will be calculated based on completed work and processed within 45 business days. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Startup Books USA’s refund liability is limited to the value of undelivered work within the contracted service scope. We are not liable for indirect losses, missed business opportunities, or consequential damages arising from any service delay or dispute.
Startup Books USA reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date on this page. Continued engagement of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
